Sona Nair is a film actress working mainly in Malayalam films. She is also known for her roles in TV soaps.[2]

She is born to Sudhakaran (s/o of Kesavan Contractor, renowned ezhava contractor) and Vasundara on 26 June 1975 at Thiruvananthapuram. Her father was working in Muscat and mother was a school teacher. She had her primary education from Al-Uthuman Higher Secondary School, Kazhakoottam, Trivandrum where her mother was a teacher. She pursued degree from Govt. College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram.[3]
She is married to Malayalam movie cameraman Udayan Ambadi on 1996
